A mini-submarine carrying $200 million worth of cocaine was intercepted by authorities in the 'Eastern Pacific Ocean'.

Officials said they intercepted the semi-submersible vessel attempting to bring 12,800 pounds or 5.5 tons of cocaine into the US.

The cocaine was on a mini-sub called a narco-submarine, vessels made of fiberglass that are extremely hard to detect using radar and are commonly used by drug traffickers.

Good job.

But isn't it amazing to anyone that our government can find undersea subs in the open ocean, but can't seem to do a damn thing about this?

Hell, we provide the Invaders buses so that Obama lackeys wearing little laminated plastic badges on a lanyard can transport the Invaders to the Social Security Office.

Bus Load of Illegal Immigrants at Social Security Office Memphis Tn.

An actor in New Jersey is facing 10 years for using a pellet gun during the filming of a movie.

New Jersey nonsense: Actor faces 10 years in prison for using a prop gun in movie

Hurrah for intercepting drugs, but I can't click my heals too much. Many of our "laws" are either ignored for political reasons, selectively enforced, or are unconstitutional in the first place.

“Many of our “laws” are either ignored for political reasons, selectively enforced, or are unconstitutional in the first place.”............

That is exactly according to odumbo’s plan.

More importantly it is EXACTLY why the DC crowd is so afraid of Trump. From my understanding, he plans to make some major changes relating to “enforcement” of our laws and those following odumbo’s lead are anticipating charges will be forthcoming if Trump is elected. A MAJOR REASON to vote for Trump, if for nothing else.

What’s with this repeated mention of ‘eastern pacific’?

If they Were in the "Eastern Pacific", How did they get to Texas? Were the Texas authorities just Cruising around the Eastern Pacific? Did the sub go around South America and enter the Gulf? Maybe they went through the Panama Canal. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I did not read the link.

British paper describing to their readers where it happened. Could have said “off the California coast”. But also say Texas officials captured the sub. These guys need a geography lesson.

I keep thinking of Robert Mitchum and his Buckley-class destroyer escort for some reason.

I thought the same thing. It seems it is a British term, in this case referring to the area off Colombia. The sub must have passed through the Panama canal if that is the case, or sailed around the horn.

Gonna have to call BS on East Pacific.

Saying this to throw off narcos or something but no way they would pilot this thing around the tip of SA and then up to the Gulf when land transport would have been easily available.

Unless, our government really believes this and are just stupid.....?????

Republic of Texas Navy strikes gain. Once again it demonstrates that Texas is more efficient and effective than the US government.

re: What’s with this repeated mention of ‘eastern pacific’?

Corpus Christi is on the east coast of Texas, which is on the western side of the Gulf fairly close to the Panama Canal, which is the closest point to the western Pacific and that is only a few thousand miles to the Eastern-Pacific where the sub was a built. Or something like that. I guess.
The biggest question is, WHO was driving the sub. Mexicans?
Probably.

I think you got turned around.

The west coast of the U.S. is the eastern Pacific.

Agree.

A lot of people seemed confused here.

On the Eastern Pacific question, they are still referring to the Pacific ocean, and they are still referring to what we call the West coast using the Continental US as a point of reference.

Where is says "Pacific Ocean" here is the Eastern Pacific, because west of that is most of the other Pacific Ocean.

Well, who wouldn’t?
Trying to delve into the muddled brain of a professional journalist would muddle anyone’s brain.
Especially at 5:00am and only one cup of coffee.

Besides, I think I added the disclaimer: Or something. Even if I didn’t it is all due to the of lack of caffeine.
