That was so great. He’s still the cute one.

I remember when the Beatles first came to the States. I remember all the younger people going gaa gaa over them. I remember when they were being compared to having the same following of Jesus Christ.
I still believe they are the MOST overrated band of all time. I'm probably in the minority here, but they were a little better than an average band.

There was one week where every song on the Billboard
Top Ten was by the Beatles. Never happened before and
never happened since. Not bad for an ‘overrated’ band.

‘Yesterday’ was originally titled, ‘Scrambled Eggs.’

I like the Beatles but I will say this, without George Martin they would not have gone very far at all. They would have been, as you say, a little better than the average band.

All 10?! (I remember the first 5 places going to them once, but never 10 of 10.)

Actually it was the Top 5, not the Top 10 that the Beatles occupied.
Back on April 4, 1964, the Beatles occupied the top 5 spots in the Billboard 100:
1. Can't Buy Me Love
2. Twist And Shout
3. She Love You
4. I Want To Hold Your Hand
5. Please, Please Me
The No. 6 song that week was Suspicion by Terry Stafford.

I stand corrected. BTW, I went to high school with Terry Stafford.

4. I Want To Hold Your Bill Clinton was always singin' this one to himself when he was out huntin' down a woman to rape.

They would have been like the Dave Clark Five or Herman’s Hermits. Nice, but somewhat limited in scope.

Voice seems to have held up pretty well. I wish I could say the same about his later compositions.

When THAT finally happens’ England will go bloody bonkers for a couple of months. At least the ‘over 40’s will. Only The Queen could outdo the pageantry and excess in tributes.
