“The third is that Trump doesn’t secure enough delegates to win it on the first ballot and the GOP rises up on subsequent ballots to take it away from him and give the nomination to someone else.”

So when Trump goes to the convention with over Five Million votes more then any competitor, you hope they give it to someone else. Good for you, what you want, is much more important than those Five Million people that voted.

Perception is reality. If this convention is contested, and trump gets bounced, whomever the party sends forth will have major PR issues with Trump’s base of millions of voters.

Chaos bitches...

He’s already ahead of Ted by 2.1 million votes. He appeals to every demographic and region.

John P. is correct:

“Ted Cruz should stop playing for second, because if he comes in second, he’s not going to be the nominee. The only way he gets to grasp the brass ring is to beat Trump outright. It’s a nearly insuperable challenge. But there it is.”

Sneaky Ted is no conservative. And we all keep forgetting he should have been DQ’d from the start. One of the other candidates should have challenged him form the go. It’s not fair to the voters who may have chosen one of the other 17 candidates. Assuming they were to ‘give’ it to Ted, he will be challenged in every single state and at the federal level.
