Watching a live stream. Protesters have blocked traffic heading for the rally. Traffic backed up for miles.

Probably because the all the cops standing around and watching would promptly ticket and or arrest anyone doing that.
Take a look at the live streaming view from above, the law enforcement officers on the scene are doing nothing to move the protesters. Somehow I doubt they would be standing around doing nothing if the protesters were conservative militia members blocking a road.

People are afraid to take action for their own safety. It's how we got where we are. Rabbits. You are absolutely right...get one big rig to pull out there (no car is going to challenge it) and block the fast lane in the opposite direction past the blockade, then have the others pull in behind. Some poor bastrd has a heart attack in that line somewhere, he's cooked. Self preservation is being bred out of Americans.
