Excellent pics. I’m the same way. When I need to escape and regain clarity on what’s important in life I get out and go to the country far away from the city and enjoy God’s great display of his power - nature; whether it’s a simply a backwoods trail, mountains, or a sandy shore. I don’t think the leftists ever get out to visit nature; at least the ones I’ve seen. They stayed holed up glued to their electronic devices. I doubt many have ever been out to the country and looked up at a star filled sky in awe. I think if more d id they’d get the sense that there are too many coincidences about the intelligent design of nature and might sense that there is a Creator and that maybe their “great” intellect is too small to consider that there may be an intelligence far above their own who intervenes in men’s affairs.

We don’t have that kind of beauty or diversity around our house, but I am always amazed at the bird’s tuneful presence when I take the dogs out in the early mornings. It is truly the bird’s world at that time of day...singing, chirping, communicating with each other.

Cool pictures, thanks!

As a side note, I just purchased a trail cam and the first night I set it up in my backyard (Thurs.) I caught pictures of two skunks side by side, one possum, one rabbit and one cat.............LOL!

And I'm not out in the country, I'm in a subdivision in S.E. Michigan........

Earlier this week I saw about 10 crows “mobbing” a hawk.

I had seen this type of thing on You Tube but never actually witnessed it.

I parked and got out of my car to watch.

It was awesome.

I have trail cameras that I use. They usually aren't great for small birds, because they typically have a minimum focus of around ten feet. That, coupled with the less than professional quality lenses, make them generally not conducive to great bird pictures. However, a few years ago I had a trail camera that must have not gotten through quality control real well, and it had a minimum focus of about 18 inches. That made it halfway decent (although less than professional quality) for taken pictures of small birds. Unfortunately, trail cameras have a relatively short lifespan, and it eventually broke, but I enjoyed it for awhile. Here are a few of the shots from back then.

great pictures nice place where you live thank you so much for sharing

Son and I saw a bald eagle attack a flock of ducks that were in a farm pond off the highway. One did not get up in the air. bald eagle dove for it and we then were clear. Unable to see the dinner catch.

very nice to see for a old man and a young adult to see and talk about how it relates to our current situation .

No pictures, but two items from a birder from way back.

1— Big thrill seeing flocks of Puffins floating in the water miles off the Maine coast.

2— On my first trip to China in ‘83, I looked forward to seeing my very first bird the first morning I went out. I had my binoculars and saw some movement in a tree, so focused in. And what was it? A pigeon!! Sigh.
