Once the House certifies the vote, it's done.
If it were proven that Obama was not a NBC, it would prevent him from running again, but since he's already a lame duck, that would be moot.
If the argument was the certification was due to false pretenses (i.e. fraud), then does that open up other possibilities?
For example, if he was falsely certified due to fraud, then he was not legitimate and the actions he took were not authorized.
So, going with this, someone who did not have proper legal authority deployed US military forces to engage in acts of war, resulting in the deaths of US and foreign citizens. Isn’t there a legal term that describes the unlawful taking of another’s life? What is the penalty for that?
Could that kind of conduct fall into the “crimes against humanity” area that was used to bring certain leaders of the Yugoslavian civil war to justice?
Where does the Constitution discuss "running for President"?
For that matter, where does the Constitution specify elections (other than the 538 members of the Electoral College) as the method for choosing a President?
Yep that's why the standing thing always kicks out cases. There's already a remedy for someone not being a natural born citizen and it sits in the electors and the house.
That's what scares me about Cruz. I think the Dems will raise such a stink about his eligibility that it will be impossible for him to be certified if the GOP even lets it go that far. I think by the time the dems and gop get done with Cruz they'll make him look like he has no business or ever had any business running for President. There will be cries from the media about how could the Republican party let this happen? Why didn't they research their own guy? etc etc.
I don’t know that would be true in the case of outright fraud by the democrat party? Yes, I would hold the democrat elite accountable for the fraud and it would bring Pelosi, Reed, Biden, and even Hillary into question.
Such a revelation would destroy the democrat party...but then we’d have to have a Republican party willing to actually pursue prosecution? Although, I would think that all of those rulings against citizens, “not having standing,” would change as an actual fraud had been committed against the American people.
