The Politidcal Insider ^ | 2/29/16 | Kosar

Posted on 02/29/2016 9:56:28 AM PST by Blood of Tyrants

A long-time political insider just made a bombshell announcement about conservative Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), who is running for President.

This Republican operative, who has worked on 9 different presidential cycles, couldn’t keep it quiet any longer after being in talks with key leaders of Cruz’s and Senator Marco Rubio’s (R-FL) campaigns.

The insider is Roger Stone. He once worked for Donald Trump, and passed along his report to a popular radio host that Cruz used a high-priced attorney to confidentially request that Rubio’s team promise Cruz a Supreme Court appointment in exchange for Cruz exciting the race. This is in addition to recent reports that the candidates’ wives have been in contact, discussing why someone dropping out is essential.

Endorsing Amnestio *** IS *** endorsing Hillary. Doesn’t everyone see this. He is the next Designated Loser. The GOPe is terrified of winning the white house again. Theyou are far more comfortable being coctail party pals with the liberals and occasionally clutching their pearls at their excesses

“I find it very telling that the Trump self-righteous crowd, that continues to talk about the horrible thing Cruz did to Carson (which amounted to nothing), would be posting false rumors about Ted Cruz.”

It’s unsurprising.

Roger Stone was fired by trump last august. He’s is NIXONIAN type of lying operative, working for whomever is paying him to circulate falsehoods— without the mudtrack leading back to a candidate. Could be being paid by Christie, who was to take out Rubio in the debates and now has sided with trump. This “rumor” is meaningless and if anyone takes it as truth— then you belong on a carnival barker’s caravan tour.

Stone is also— seriously weird in the miami- underground. Not a nice guy— greasy and prob. queer. So media loves him and is how through queers they get his so called “leaks”.

Except the ST polls don’t even open for 16 hours.
Cruz can demolish this story with one Tweet.
The Carson deal broke 15 minutes before caucus time.

Cruz is the GOPe's Designated Conservative.

He only votes the GOPe way when they need his vote for something big, like Corker Bill or TPA.

Otherwise, he's the foil prop.

Now we just need to pray that Donald’s security and secret service detail keep him safe because this is the nastiest election season I have witnessed in my adult lifetime and things look to get worse, much worse.

I've been praying for his safety because I think he's making very powerful enemies who don't like losing. I'm not talking about Cruz or Rubio here.

I have no idea of the validity of this rumor, however its politics, these are politicians, whichever option they fell gives them personally the best outcome as they see it will be the one that they take.

I expect someone to drop out by 3/15 at the latest... the money just won’t be there if neither Rubio or Cruz shows any real momentum by then and Trump has taken the majority of the contests handily by then, the backers just won’t feed 2 fish long after that.

Cruz will likely have at least 2 state wins by then IA and TX... Rubio probably won’t have one, yet he’s the more likely to stick around because he’s more of the boring same old same old.

Kasich if he wins Ohio may try to pivot and stick around for a little while after that, but he’s no threat.. if anything he and Rubio would end up dipping from the same pool of voters.

If Cruz wins TX he may stick around a little longer, if he loses TX its hard to see him lasting much longer... Rubio will get creamed in his home state but will still stick around....

Its insane that the GOPe can’t seem to grasp what their electorate is telling them, they are in denial and think if only the establishment would setting on one candidate Trump would lose.... and while that might have worked a while ago, after Super Tuesday, let alone the other big back 7 days later, its just too late for them to have any shot to stop Trump.

The more Trump Wins, the more he will win... human nature. Success breeds success... And by 3/15 Trump is looking to be not only in the lead, but in the lead by leaps and bounds.

Time will tell.

The Sessions' endorsement of Trump was the death knell for Cruz. He knows it.

Not so.

He has already done Number 2 (aptly numbered) by endorsing Rubio in his post-debate interview with Tapper.

Also, not so. I watched that interview. There was NO such endorsement.

Common, Trumpeters, win honest if you can!

Where does Cruz go after Super Tuesday? If the polls are correct he has only a shot to win in TX and AK? Even if he wins those, he faces the daunting task of trying to win in the North and West. The Northeast is Trump country. Kasich has a better shot in the Midwest. And Rubio is more than competitive with Cruz in these places plus he is getting a massive infusion of money from the GOPe.

After tomorrow, Ted is Texas toast.

Ted could have played it smart but his ego got out of control. Sarah Palin ( SARAPAC) funded Cruz’s run for the Senate. It was a message to all when she endorsed Trump over Cruz.

Ted could now be looking at a VP slot or an AG appointment or perhaps even a SCOTUS appointment, but he burned all of his bridges with The Donald.

Anyone who is not even minimally astute as is Cruz, could not every be a good president. Burning ones bridges when one is so young means that Cruz is a short timer. He will retire to a ranch in Texas.

Contrary to the narrative, Ted is not that smart. Heidi is apparently the brains of the operation. But a case can be made that both are stupid. Who accepts the repeated endorsement of lunatic Glenn Beck? Ted is a victim of unbridled arrogance and ambition. Not only will he not be president, he will lose his senate seat in 2018.

"The Uniparty must be preserved!"

Cruz will NEED GOPe and NRSC backing in the 2018 primaries. He NEEDS to run unopposed.

Because a Republican challenger in the primary will accuse him of defrauding the people of Texas by not disclosing his Canadian citizenship in 2012.

And it will work.

” in exchange for Cruz exciting the race.”

Racial excitement? Is that, like,
getting out the black vote?

Bad logic because it’s the Senate that confirms the nominee and the Dems all hate Cruz plus enough moderate pubbies so even if a “President Rubio” nominated Cruz for SCOTUS, the Senate is probably unlikely to confirm him.

If Cruz agreed to this, it is fool’s gold.

Cruz is backed by the same globalist stalwarts as every other GOPe candidate... as long as he’s backed by the same folks, how does anyone think when it comes down to it, he would be structurally different than any other establishment republican?

That’s an excellent point.

If Trump beats him in Texas (it is a toss up) it will be a sign of vulnerability as well.

Cruz will need his wife’s Goldman Sachs job (they currently pay his health insurance) to fall back on as well.
