In a nation of 300 million guns, they’re not going to want to keep people in. Or be able to.

He won’t get the funds to build it. He won’t get any tariffs on Mexico to pay for it. That would be destructive of our economy, which has benefitted more from NAFTA than Mexico’s. And, it’s Trump. He doesn’t intend to build any walls. That’s just the same hot air that he’s spewed all his career, from Trump University to Trump Vodka to skipping numbers on the floors of the Trump Tower (built by illegal Polish workers), so that he could claim it had more floors than any other condo in Manhattan.

A border wall keeps people out.

What keeps people IN is TSA, because as much as we want to travel, we hate going through airport security even more!

You could have protected all of us, Alan, if you won the IL senate seat that Comrade Obama won and put an end to his political career 16 years ago.

“Illegal immigration is not Mexico’s fault. Mexico is a poor and impoverished country and it is only natural that many want to come here. “

Bullcrap. Is it simply an accident that Mexico is impoverished? They created the poverty and ignorance through a century+ long orgy of ignorance. The Roman catholic church has loved the ignorance and its power and has opposed anything that reduced their power.
Another fantastic move was that Mexico was the first nation to recognize the USSR!
Mexico’s Aztecs are celebrated when they should be seen the way one would view a Nazi mass murderer. This informs them culturally. To this day Mexico beheads more people than ISIS.
More than anything, Mexico has labored under an elite that LOVES European thinking, monarchism, etc.
Mexico has endured that all the land was seized by the first Europeans and divided between royal grants and the church. Mexico was conspiring with Germany during WWI.

Everything about that nation has been tailor made to make it a poor ignorant country. Their own leaders are to blame.
Our blame mostly is that every time a Mexican leader emerged who wanted to emulate the US Constitution, our government would squash them on behalf of business.
That is probably the case today.

You might want to go south when the northern boarder is sealed and all the coastal ports are heavily watched ... and your name just came up for transport to a indigenous work camp ...

I’ve always wondered how it happened. We’re witnesses to it.

Shouldn’t we save the city children, too?

Just a little grammar joke... :)

“That would be destructive of our economy, which has benefitted more from NAFTA than Mexico’s”

Unless you work at the Carrier air conditioner factory, a Ford plant, etc.

It's a valid question.
Communist countries build walls to keep people in, and we are heading in that direction.

Mexico can’t legally help build the wall even if it wanted to.

People have a right under international law to leave their country.

What they don’t have is the right to enter another country.

I’m in favor of allowing private companies being allowed to bid for federal franchises to confiscate the pay of illegal workers, with 50% of the confiscated pay going for added Social Security payouts to help older people hurt by low interest rates.

Try leaving the USA without a passport.

Mine had better come at least two days before my plane leaves for Europe.

The ludicrous nature of West's rant does not suit him, and it's out of character for him.

There is no plan for a wall on the Canadian, and besides no army in the world could keep 300million armed Americans from leaving.

Where the hell did he come up with this? Or, is he just doing what he's paid to do?

If there is a spiritual revival and the pre-born genocide is outlawed (DT could even bulldoze the clinics) then, and only then, will God give us a reprieve from the coming wrath of justice.

The wall can always be torn down. Oh, mexico wont pay for it. They can lose all their abortion funding and other stuff, but America will still pay for it unless DT has a good relationship with the drug cartels and the mob.

My wife’s parents are both from Mexico. They legally came to the US about 50 years ago and now both have long since become US citizens. After seeing where they came from, I can see why they left. They simply wanted a better life for themselves and for their children. While it would be nice if Mexico cooperated with us on all levels, it is our federal government’s responsibility to defend our borders and enforce our immigration laws. They have failed miserably in that regard, and that is why people are now turning to a fool and a charlatan like DT and his grandiose scheme to build a forty foot wall and have Mexico pay for it. All, obviously, a bunch of crap. Common sense policies that I outlined in my first post would solve most of the problem.

There is something about the “Berlin Wall” that many people have no clue about.

Most people think the “Wall” divided East from West, when in fact Berlin was a divided city that was wholly contained within EAST Germany.

An Island, if you will, a pocket of the West that was able to exist in a Communist State by the virtue and will of free men and the Soviets allowed it’s existence as a result.
