So the VP would be immune to special interest pressure the same as Donald Trump is. Don’t want a Trojan horse as VP.

Probably a correct analysis. Luckily, Donald Trump has a pretty good track record as a talent scout. :-)

Trump will choose Cruz, for many reasons, and then we’ll find out that all of this was an act they hatched to keep the kiddies from getting any traction.

They will make a GREAT PAIR and the Dems won’t stand a chance, and they already know that.

I think New Mexico governor Susanna Martinez would be a sharp pick for a couple of reasons
1 She’s a successful republican governor in a blue state
2 She hasn’t blotted her copybook so she would be good
3 She reaches the female demographic
4 As a Hispanic, she also reaches that demographic
Talk about a sharp, diversity person!

Yep. And Johnny is a faithful party foot soldier. Like Biden.

Never in a million years.

Trump will pick a non politician, some well known business man no doubt.

Why?
This is not a sentimental man, not in that way.
This is business.
It’s just like him to turn a 180 and say it plainly that this was all part of the contest, and let bygones be bygones.
Trump is ruthless and completely lacking the need to pretend to noble virtues - or rather pious hypocrisies.
This is a very new thing in politics, a man with no shame.
I have no idea whether this is a good or bad thing, but to predict him we have to forget conventional thinking.

Being a Cruz supported myself, I hope that scenario does not play out!

If Trump were to win (gulp) Texas is probably already in the bag! If Trump were smart he would choose Rubio of Florida, or Kasich of Ohio! Without at least one of the states in the R column, then it would definitely be harder for Trump (gulp) to win!

I’d be surprised. Trump is a petty, vindictive man. He didn’t like a piece of journalism Selina Scott did about him, so he harassed her with a series of letters attacking her looks, morals, career etc. After that he continued harassing her by sending her press clippings of himself with things like “You’re a loser, Selina” written on them. He is not a normal human being.

Absolutely not. Cruz brings nothing to the table - no political constituency, no counsel Trump can't find elsewhere.

Trump will choose someone he likes and respects, which completely rules Cruz out; it will be someone competent and outside of politics. I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone from the military.

Trump will make a great decision based on who will help him win. If that is Cruz, he will pick Cruz. He is pursuing a win.

“I’ll be very disappointed if Trump does. Cruz has proved he doesn’t have integrity. There are a ton of other people that he can chose and it doesn’t have to be someone running.”

And the Donald is just brimming with all the integrity this side of France!

You must not have gotten the memo.

See, Trump never screws up. That is what losers do. Trump always winds, because he’s a winner, and that is what winners do. We know this because he told us, and everything tells us is true...because he’s a winner.

It’s not really circular logic, it’s more like oblique spheroid nonsense.

But he’s going to “Save us, and make America Great!”

I think its Cruz that screwed it up big time imho. Cruz should’ve settled for VP, so we could have 16 years of Conservative rule. Cruz shouldn’t have gone after Trump so hard as he did. Now that dream ticket is gone

Because nobody in their right mind picks a nakedly ambitious person for VP. You would have to look over your shoulder all the time. Trump is no different and Ohio is a must win swing state so Kasich makes sense. It would also help rebuild bridges with the party.

So, we agree Trump pulled the birther and “Liar” nonsense out of his gold plated ass?

I blame Cruz’s consultant/campaign class. They gave Cruz bad advice. They should’ve kept with the bromance and not jump on the bandwagon of everyone attacking Trump
