By now, Daniel had been in Afghanistan two months. It was July 2012, his third tour of duty and his first with Oogie, his military working dog. They were leading their platoon on yet another patrol, clearing a no-name village with maybe 15 houses and one mosque, when they began taking fire.

These men and dogs have been through hell itself. In many cases, the dogs saved the soldier's life. This K2 outfit needs to be thoroughly investigated, as it seems they are reselling dogs they have no right to sell. They sound as shady as a grove of oaks. I hope that SOMEONE with some authority gets to the bottom of this. I would hate for faithful and brave K-9s to be destroyed or put into terrible abusive situations, when what they deserve is a retirement with honor with the soldier they love.

I just searched for the org website Operation Releash/Release. All FB pages have been taken down. No such website and only found a link on twitter. There is DEFINITELY something going on here. Something underhanded and dirty. These Marines and Soldiers are getting screwed by their government big time.

Before 2012 the dogs were left behind. Read horror stories about that. Here is a link to the legislation passed to at least get them back to the states, but of course there will always be scum who profit off the government because of lack of oversight. Like the wild horses sold for meat?

There is definitely something afoot. Searching operation release I find several obvious references to their work, though all relevant website/fb pages seem to have been scrubbed.
