The TRUE OWNERS, the Atlantic City local government, tried to get it from her.
Good thing for her that she didn't forget to pay a water bill or a property tax bill.
They'd have had her out of THEIR boarding house in a New Jersey minute.
I keep having to deal with people who pretend that they own "their" real estate or houses, when they actually RENT from their local government.
I find it hard to muster any indignation over the faux outrage from people who ceded their land/home rights DECADES ago.
