Thank you, here’s my suggestion:
The Jews of Medina took you in
Lest before the L-rd they sin
But gratitude is not a part of your heart.
You took their arms, their wealth, their land
Killed all of those who’d make a stand
Punctuating each demand âAllah akbar!â
Allah akbar...
Allah akbar...
Allah akbar...
Allah akbar
The Towers burned and quickly fell
Turned New York into a Hell
Three thousand lives extinguished by your hatred.
In the streets you cheered and cried
Laughing as the people died
From the rooftops you replied âAllah akbar!â
[chorus]
The relics of a bygone age
Filled you with a jealous rage
Reminding you that you had fallen so far.
The beauty you could not create
Youâd burn and crush and desecrate
Destroying with a bitter âAllah akbar!â
[chorus]
You loved death, but they loved life
And so your children took the knife
The hatred in their souls as black as coal tar.
The innocent they then struck down
The blood was spilled on holy ground
Murdered to the sound of âAllah akbar!â
Very interesting suggestions. I quite like “But gratitude is not a part of your heart..”
My problem with song was less the rhythm than the key and the range. C Major is not my best key, but when I tried transposing the instrumental parts they didn’t sound right.
