Nightmare scenario for Democrats
me | 2/10/16 | me

Hillary has really screwed herself in this election, especially with young and women voters. Bernie has all the momentum now, and will likely continue to. That being said, Hillary will garner some support and supposedly she has tons of super-delegates locked away. What if, at the Democratic National Convention, Sanders has been able to build an overwhelming coalition of all of the traditional liberal special interest groups, but Hillary...with her super-delegates... is able to snatch away the nomination? Will there be an all out civil war on the left, or would they accept it and coalesce behind Her Thighness? Thoughts?

If they had real civil war and literally killed a bunch of themselves off at their conventions, it would suit me.

Hillary is going to

Every state.

And then at the Convention the Democrats will choose her as their nominee.

Because Superdelegates.

And all the college students are going to say, "Whaaaaaaa ----?"

Things are shaping up nicely for a GOP victory.

I can only wonder if the Dems see a giant mess ahead and don't want to be in charge at that point...

Make America Great Again! is a terrific message. I hope it's possible given the national debt and other factors.

The super delegate thing really confuses me.

the perception of a stolen nomination - in either party, would be political suicide.

I think they will follow her. They followed Obama blindly after he shafted Hillary out of the nomination in 2008. They will follow Hillary blindly if she shafts Bernie out of the nomination.

I disagree. For Democrats it is simply a part of the process, not a corruption of the process.

It’s the Left’s way of formally rigging the primary system.
Makes sense when you consider that _they_ consider it axiomatic that those in charge know better than mere peons: they’ll ask your opinion, but weigh their own to out-vote you.

That’s exactly what I’ve been hoping for resulting in a disgruntled rat base that either stays home or defects to Trump.

So far their evil plan is unfolding exactly as I had hoped.

You have to remember that Bernie Sanders is supported by people who think they can get everything free. Do you really think they are politically astute enough to just go along with old politicians who tell them that their guy didn’t win because that’s the way it is?

No, the Dems are in serious trouble, brought on by themselves. They are going to alienate 20-30% of their base in almost every scenario.

Let’s face it, Hillary is just plain lucky.

She started reading the Wall Street Journal and then traded commodities, parlaying a huge $1000 stake into $100k in less than a year.

In Iowa, she won a coin toss to break a tie vote 6 times in a row, defying two to the sixth power odds.

She will win, for she is either bewitched or the luckiest person on earth.

Small puncture wound behind Bernie’s ear, or a sudden stroke; withdrawal for health reasons. Doctor’s exam finds heart murmur. HRC will be the candidate. Certain.

I think Hillary will win a lot on Super Tuesday.

Burney’s run is coming to a close. He just doesn’t have the campaign horsepower to compete nationally.
