Two out of three New Hampshire Republican voters did not vote for Donald Trump.

I would have no problem pulling the lever for Ted Cruz. The guy is solid on the issues, but I do not believe in self delusion. Let’s be honest, Cruz’s personality stinks. The reason he is disliked is that he is what the common folk call an a*****e. I’m not talking politics here, just person to person interaction. I would vote for him in a second, but if he lived next door, I would avoid him like the plague.

Aside from the obligatory swipe at Trump, the article actually provides some salient points. Specifically, Cruz is disliked in Washington DC because he doesn’t “go along to get along”. Instead, he does his best to actually do things in line with his convictions, and those of his constituents.

To put it another way, in New Hampshire, Two out of Three Republicans voted against Donald Trump, so he “won”

In Iowa, Three out of Four Republicans voted against Donald Trump, so he “lost”.

He has to get a lot more than one-in-three Republicans to win in November.

Trump has the highest negatives EVER in the entire history of Gallup polling. Now THAT is his problem.

Put another way 9 out of 10 Republican voters in New Hampshire voted against Ted Cruz so he lost. He has no momentum coming out of New Hampshire. He can’t win anything anywhere going forward with support from 1 in 10 Republicans. Ted’s big problem is that the more people gets to know him... the more they tend to dislike him. He is nothing but blind ambition with no leadership abilities what-so-ever. That is why not even one Republican Senator endorsed him... not even one. Not even my favorite, Senator Inhofe from Oklahoma can stand him. But I guess that none of them are “true conservatives”.

In many scenarios this might be seen as a positive attribute, unfortunately it is not a quality that is helpful to someone who wants to lead.

"These people need to learn there is no such thing as lukewarm hell.

Modern-day Democrats are not willing to compromise on anything. As such, the only way to move forward and restore our republic is with brute force, "

It is interesting that you put up a bunch of pictures of military men with strong leadership qualities. Cruz was never in the military. Unfortunately Cruz has not demonstrated any leadership qualities other than blind ambition. He may be a decent lawyer, but who followed him in the Senate? Who has followed him in any endeavor other than trying to get him elected to an office that he is not qualified to hold?

Interesting graph; it demonstrates that Cruz has less name recognition than Trump does among independents and Democrats.

Cruz has enemies because he actually fights.

And that's a big PLUS!

It would be nice to think that Ted's being hated inside the Beltway meant that he was loved outside of it, but things don't work out so neatly in real life.

Maybe it's not about being loved or hated but about how much staying power a politician has with people.

Of course, candidates people really don't want to put up with have been elected simply because people hated their opponents even more.

Unlike most of the detractors, I’ve met Cruz and found him sincere, amicable, and well liked by everyone I saw speak with him. That is a non-issue meant to distract from Donnie’s lifelong LIEberalism in favor of the tin veneer of his newly-minted conservatism.
