Y'er getting soft. We're keeping up the clawing and scratching until the Convention in July. After that we're starting up with the burnings at the stake! :o) LMAO!
You know, you're right about that. Whoever wins the primary, it'll take the general election to finally get everyone to pull together. I guess I just forgot how this works over the last four years :-)

The FR online caucus. . . . you could say it represents the consensus of FR. Or not.

Trump has been consistently winning the nightly FR caucus. If those numbers were votes in the real world, it would be recognized as a landslide victory. And if online polls meant anything, Ron Paul would be finishing up his second term.

Trump is running away with this election, and you know it. Running away? There's been one vote so far, and Trump did not win it. Let's see how everyone is doing after, say, March 15.

I’m glad to hear that.
Many/most of the ski areas are figuring out how to turn their facilities into year-round resorts. That way, they can maintain their staff and have income for more months.

I’m liking the trend. The charts and graphs DoughtyOne set up are interesting every day.

Thanks for the explanation and after reading it, it does sound like a caucus can serve a legitimate purpose for discussion and information. Not sure why it should count as a final vote, but nothing’s perfect I guess.

AFAIK, all states have caucuses. How else do Dems and Repubs pick local party officials and consider platform proposals?
Iowa simply added a presidential preference count in the 1970s to their already existing caucuses.
Seems to me that many FReepers are so absent from the actual political process that they imagine government can be restrained by spending a few minutes alone in a booth a few times a decade.

We'll have a better idea of how things stand after March 1 and a very good idea after March 15. When things get down to two or three candidates, then we'll have a better feel for this race. Too soon to say otherwise.
If Trump falls below 30% in NH, even if he finishes in first place, that will not be a good sign for him.

NH Forecast: 1-3 inches of snow today and tonight. That's not a big deal by NH standards, but it will discourage some casual or delicate voters. IOW, Trump fans may stay home and watch a reality show. And Donny himself may want to stay home so he doesn't have to sleep in some motel where the peons stay.

I see, and I suppose you were born with the wisdom and knowledge of the ages and never had to actually learn or be taught anything.
IMO, THAT is a bigger problem here on FR and elsewhere than having to actually learn something which in fact is a major benefit of this site.

If Trump falls below 30% in NH, even if he finishes in first place, that will not be a good sign for him. Taking 30% (or even close to it) in a nine person race, is a show of unquestionable dominance. The latest NH poll I've seen today has Trump at 40% with Cruz following at a distant 16%.
Presidential hopefuls Sanders, Clinton in dead heat - Reuters/Ipsos poll (Trump 40%, Cruz 16%)
The only way Trump comes out of New Hampshire looking bad, is if he wins by a nose, which is highly unlikely.
