New compared to one of many classic rock or other popular old-school performers which should be doing the 50th Super Bowl. Lot of them are dead.
The rest just look and sound like they are.

Although I haven’t purposely tuned into current music, I do often come across it while switching radio stations, on TV, in stores, malls, from people’s cars, etc. And damn near all of it, IMO, is mediocre at best. I suspect we hit the high note on creativity and talent in the 50s, 60s and 70s, and haven’t yet figured out how to improve or even compete with it.

There are plenty of iconic performers around that still perform well. Having some piece of crap band like Coldplay to do the 50th Super Bowl is disgraceful.

We’ll see how she does.
I’m old, but I don’t think we’ve had a popular singer like Keely Smith, (MAYBE Whitney Huston) - since forever:

I guess hearing aids cover a multitude of sins.
I agree with Lizzie Jagger. They should button up their shirts and stop prancing around the stage.

If you think that the stuff from the last few decades even comes close to the stuff from the 50s, 60s and 70s, more power to you. You and I are obviously from different universes.

Haha, the band is almost as old as I am. Can’t dispute the dopey charge, however.

Yes, after tonight it would be preferable.
Ive often said that the amount of talent of the musician performing is in inverse proportion to the number of dancers present. Proved correct again.
Did you notice whats her face bent over and wafted her gas away with her hand? How is it that a person with that much money cant afford a proctologist to find whatever is causing her so much discomfort that she moves that way?

The Romans used their absolute and resolute cruelty to maintain power. When the slaves revolted (Spartacus) and were defeated and recaptured, 7,000 were reportedly crucified along the road to Rome.

Dopey and awful. Only I didn’t realize HOW dopey and awful until I saw the super bowl performance. I had never heard of them before. Music and a lot of other things simply suck these past 4 or so decades.

No argument from me. For the most part, I listen to classical music, independent bands, or else music predating 1980. There are some mainstream bands who are genuinely good at writing and singing music, but they are few and far between.
