Part of the problem with tweets is that all manner of nuance is simply missed, that you’d see if Donald actually spoke. If I were running I wouldn’t tweet, I’d sound bite.
Anyhow SURE he demands a recount. That’s like asking the ocean to ebb when it is still rising. That could be said in an ironic tone, but in text it just looks callow.
Interesting comment. I’ve noticed a lot of people try to identify nuance in e-mails texts and tweets. I never do that, never speculate about the emotional state of the sender. Assumption and speculation all too often gets you into trouble. That’s why people read Trump’s tweets on Tuesday and said “he’s melting down”. He wasn’t, his tweets looked very unemotional, strategic, and calculated to me. And what happened? Trump changed the story “Ted Won Iowa” to “Ted lied on caucus night” - which was true. And that was the narrative for the next few days.
People could learn a lot from just watching Trump without making emotional assumptions about him. He’s brilliant. He leads the media by their nose ring to exactly where he wants them to be.
