It’s an almost 300 year old log house.
Not even slightly airtight so everything comes in.
That windowsill faces south/west and the jumpers seem to love it.
Possibly because errant flies love it, too.
Hubby has gotten used to the snakes but the last time I grabbed a deli cup to catch a humongous wolf spider that was charging around the room, he looked a bit pale.
