I believe that had this phony controversy not arisen, started by foolish Carson remarks and stoked by the Trumper Tantrum, Carson would have already withdrawn.
Now, the attacks by the Baby on Carson several debates ago was REALLY sickening and completely below the belt. But hey, all is forgiven by his cultists.
The Carson campaign was tweeting all day about the caucuses, he did interviews that day, his wife was at a location making calls, etc etc. There was no reason under the sun to think he was suspending or dropping out. The CNN tweet was poorly worded so the first thing one would do would be to try and corroborate the info, since this “information” was NO WHERE ELSE> But the Cruz campaign saw an opportunity to run with a lie that had deniability (”misunderstanding”). As soon as the Carson campaign was aware, they tweeted (at 8pm) he was going to FL to change clothes after the caucuses. But the Cruz campaign did not waste any time running with the lie. Carson may be a political newbie, but Cruz deliberately lied. and this is the guy who is supposed to be different? same old same old lying lawyers.
