FINAL WORD ON SUN AND MOON

Genesis 1:1-11
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.”” And there was evening, and there was morning, the first day.

6 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning, the second day.

9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning, the third day.

14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning, the fourth day.

Nope. The heat would have boiled the water away. The oceans come from asteroid and comet bombardment after the collision was consolidated.

What makes the earths inner core rotate at a different speed? (creating our manetic field)

I am beginning to think the curst being hit by a large asteroid may send the outer shell springing back and forth against the spongy interior, like the way a screen door will swing back and forth slowly, until it fades...

That would explain pole shifts AND mass extinctions.

At the top of each swing (before it swithces dierection) there is briefly no magnetic field- which is not good at all for life in earth.

Then it swings the opposite direction for a while, going back and forth every 28,000 years or so?

Given the earth is spinning in a frictionless space, the change in speed from the inner core and outer crust has always confused me.

That is not a new theory it’s been around for some time now. And I never heard the side swiped thing until now. Thea was a mars sized planet.

Earth and a hypothesized early planet called Theia collided, and the two planets fused together 4.5 billion years ago.

If it was 4.5 billion years ago when there were no humans and the planet Theia no longer exists, how did it get its name and why?

Or... they were just both formed from the same debris field that over time coalesced into the earth and moon.

The earlier theory was that Theia hit earth a glancing blow before settling into an orbit. The oxygen isotopes on earth and on the moon being the same indicate a head on collision and thorough mix of the two bodies. It seems that the collision would have robbed the earth of much of its water so our oceans must have been replenished by water rich chondrites raining down on post collision earth. Also, the molten lava would have also have Haden a lot of water. Water is one of the most common molecules in the universe.

The initial working theory was that the Earth and Theia only side-swiped each other, sending the moon into orbit and then flying away into space. But this new research says that Theia never left Earth and instead, it helped shape up our planet.
"The initial working theory" was ruled out over 30 years ago, and the impact origin of the Moon -- while it is incorrect IMHO -- has been the dominant view ever since.

If this happened 4.5 billion years ago, how do they know Theia’s name? There weren’t any people around at the time.

However the water got here, it’s a good thing the Earth was made of iron, and not Mr. Bubble.
