Ping to reflections
The premise of the entire column is a lie.
How could ‘The Body of Christ’ be involved in cheating?
I live here in Iowa, and was at my local caucus on monday night.
there was NO mention of this carson thing there...in fact, the first I heard of it was tuesday, on FR
I suppose that you can slice and dice the vote tallys and come to the conclusion that 4 flipped votes per precinct would have changed the election result, but I am here to tell you that this Carson thing was not a factor. If it was, it was not enough to flip the election to trump
repub caucus voters...(in IA, you have to be declared to vote in Caucus), turned out 180,000 strong across the state....that is a RECORD turnout for GOP in IA caucus. 40k more than the communist turnout, statewide.
trump finished 5k behind cruz. in my precinct, he came in third, behind cruz AND rubio.
rubio won most of the major urban centers, as did bernie. des moines, davenport, cedar rapids. that said, the rural voters turned out in droves, and overrode that, by voting for cruz and trump.
THAT is something that should be noted.
not trying to be a d^&$, just laying out some facts here, from being on the ground here in IA.
Nonsense.
The Carson ‘news’ was spread only in a few suburban precincts, where Carson had very little support to start with.
I know Carson supporters. They would not be dissuaded by someone’s tweet.
Don’t you guys realize that all of this spilled milk that people are crying over only minimally affects convention vote count?
It would probably be just one vote.
A couple of sources with some info but not necessarily data
that will be certified as final.

It’s almost certain that the misbehavior in the Cruz camp didn’t change the outcome.
But that doesn’t excuse what the Cruz people did.
They took a report on CNN and read something into it that wasn’t there.
And instead of verifying the facts, in the heat of the moment, they ran with it to get the maximum possible advantage that they could.
It doesn’t matter whether 1 vote or 10,000 changed over this.
Cruz said it was “fair game”, which says a lot about his character.
I plan to watch BOR tonight because like him or not, last night he promised Dr. Carson he would thoroughly investigate the incident and air his findings.
As it stands right now, it seems that Cruz backer, Iowa Congressman King, cherry picked 1 of 3 Tweets by a CNN journalist I think, which set the whole damn, deplorable lie in motion.
Ted Cruz had no idea about the lie.
Congressman King? He’s another matter.
Fwiw, Carson actually exceeded polling averages done the prior week. At least according to Real Clear Politics: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/ia/iowa_republican_presidential_caucus-3194.html
Cruz got the most delegates in Iowa.
He would have still gotten the most delegates in Iowa, if he hadn’t lied about Carson.
But Cruz is still a sleazeball and a liar. Some people don’t care they will support him anyways and they will deserve what they get.
Trump still has the support to win this, he needs to move on from Iowa and focus on winning.
Carson even after the dirty trick was almost in double digits; considering there are people still campaigning with low single digits, it strains credulity to think that Carson, fourth and almost in double digits in Iowa, would quit the race. That it was INNOCENTLY and benignly suggested as realistic is an insult to people's intelligence.
It's quite reasonable to think that Carson was at 13, 14 or even 15 percent PRIOR to the Cruz dirty trick.
