Samsung is cutting employees and R&D because, according to Samsung managers, the "company is in trouble." Quoting managers, Samsung's policy has ben to be a "fast followers rather than first movers. . ." What is even more surprising is that Samsung has revealed that their R&D budget is a mere $11.4 million. Compare that to Apple's 2015 R&D spending of $8.6 BILLION.
With Samsung's reputation, you have to wonder if Samsung's $11.4 million for R&D cost is only to cover the cost of toner and paper for the copy machines. < /s > -- PING! Pinging ThunderSleeps and Shadow Ace for their ping lists.
