Research from the polling firm Gallup has found that Donald Trump is the "most unpopular candidate" for president in either major party - both in this election and all the way back to 1992.
Trump's unfavorable rating currently stands at 60 percent, which is substantially higher than that of any of his Republican rivals. Former Florida governor Jeb Bush is at 45 percent, and everyone else is even lower: Chris Christie is at 38 percent, Ted Cruz is at 37 percent, Marco Rubio is at 33 percent, and the reliably likable Ben Carson is only at 30 percent.
In the Democratic field, not even the scandal-plagued Hillary Clinton matches Trump's low standing - she holds a 52 percent unfavorable rating. Her fellow Democratic contender Bernie Sanders is at 31 percent.
The numbers are drawn from surveys of the entire U.S. population, not just self-identified voters.
Gallup's editor in chief Frank Newport frames these figures historically:
"I wanted to see how Trump's unfavorable played out in the context of previous elections, so I went back to look at the unfavorable ratings of the major-party candidates from 1992 through the current election. The bottom line is that Trump now has a higher unfavorable rating than any candidate at any time during all of these previous election cycles, and that conclusion takes into account the fact that unfavorable ratings tend to rise in the heat of a general election campaign as the barbs, negative ads and heightened partisanship are taken to their highest levels."
Even when compared with sitting presidents at their most unpopular moments, Trump's unfavorable rating sticks out. The 60 percent statistic is sandwiched between Bill Clinton's high of 59 percent in March 2001, shortly after he left office, and George W. Bush's 66 percent, measured in April 2008 amid the tumultuous homestretch of his second term.

Let us nominate 2 Cubans, one was born when none of his parents were US citizens, and the other born outside USA, where parents were not on any official assignment such as was the case with McCain.
What is next, any of those Saudi’s who were born in Saudi Arabia, from American mothers and Saudi fathers eligible to run as Natural Born Citizens of USA? Really? OK Dokie!!

Let us close our eyes and ears to this negative talk of our messiah, DONALD TRUMP (LET US PRAISE HIM AND PRAISE THE ABSOLUTE TRUTHFULNESS OF HIS WORDS).
I have not endorsed Trump because I am slightly closer to Cruz philosophically. (And I have not endorsed Cruz, because Trump has a better chance to win, in November. Thus I go on defending each of them against their detractors.)
The key to the election is to get the Trump & Cruz backers working together.
As for Gallup, this sort of poll is very easy to rig; very easy to misinterpret; grist for the mill of the politically correct idiots, w ho will be out of power, if Trump or Cruz is elected.
Look at the bright side. Nowhere to go but up. :-)

Unless Trump thinks he can win over more liberals to replace the Conservatives he's turning off, I just don't understand his game plan.

Well, Trump supporters aren’t so simplistic, naïve, and misinformed that they’d end a sentence with a preposition.
You are right. We need to nominate a proven NY liberal. Just ignore that he supported abortion, amnesty, universal healthcare, eminent domain, ethanol, the Clintons, praised Obama, took money from Soros, attacks conservatives, is crude and classless, back-stabs anyone who does not bow to him, is said to be the least religious, polls worse that Clinton, and many more insignificant negatives.
Sadly, of the people I know, most of them wrinkle their face when the name Trump comes up. He is very thin skinned and goes too far with his insults. It’s one thing to defend yourself against attacks, but his type of name calling reminds me of how liberals tend to argue.
