McDonald’s Customers Upset Over Mozzarella Sticks That Lack a Key Ingredient
KFOR ^ | JANUARY 29, 2016

First it was Internet outrage over the Reese peanut butter Christmas trees that didn't look like Christmas trees. Now it's cheese-less cheese sticks.

Dozens of McDonald's customers on social media are complaining that the restaurant's mozzarella sticks are missing the cheese.

The new menu item was recently launched at McDonald's as part of its "McPick 2" menu. But customers have been tweeting photos of their orders and displeasure at the lack of cheese.

McDonald's issued a statement on Thursday:

"We are aware of a low volume of guest concerns about our Mozzarella Cheese Sticks," spokeswoman Lisa McComb said in an emailed statement. "In these instances, we believe the cheese melted out during the baking process in our kitchens and shouldn't have been served. We apologize to any customers who may have been affected. We are working to fix this in our restaurants."

Boy, that’s real healthy and non-fattening: Fried Cheese. I’ll stick with egg mcmuffins. Plenty of good carbs and protein and only 300 calories.

Cheese costs money - bread crumbs, not so much.

Children has customarily begged to go to McDonalds for fries and burgers. McDonalds ignored the recipe for their success and went this way. Their sales have tanked ever since:

McDonalds’ sales have been strong since introducing all-day breakfast items. Biggest win in the quick-service restaurant sector in a long time.

And an expanded dollar menu, the fact is no McDonald's burger is worth the menu price.

"...McDonald's customers on social media are complaining that the restaurant's mozzarella sticks are missing the cheese..."

Would it have been that challenging just to simply bring them to the manager and show him/her the cheese had melted out...leaving only the breadcrumbs behind?

I’ve heard a lot of fast food lovers complaining about how bad these taste. I’m surprised they’re still on the menu.
