Additional Arrests in the Occupation of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge

In the early morning hours of January 27, 2016, the FBI and Oregon State Police (OSP) established a series of checkpoints at major roads in and out of the refuge. In the hours prior to the checkpoints several vehicles are known to have left the area. Since the establishment of the checkpoints, a total of eight people have left the refuge. Of those, the FBI released five and arrested three.

At approximately 3:30 pm, the FBI made probable cause arrests of Duane Leo Ehmer, age 45, of Irrington, Oregon and Dylan Wade Anderson, age 34, or Provo, Utah. At approximately, 7:40 pm, agents made a probable cause arrest of Jason S, Patrick, 43, of Bonaire, Georgia.....

When some of those still at the refuge left late today, three were arrested by the FBI, this is an official FBI news release.

Beyond that, media reports suggest that a small group of five people remain who have not heeded Ammon Bundy's call for them to leave.

I should also note that in the communication through his lawyer, Bundy asked that no one else be charged but these three men are being charged by the feds including Jason Patrick, who assumed leadership after Ammon Bundy's arrest.

For all you CWIII and revolution folks.

This shows it ain't gonna happen. Sit behind your keyboard and be as tough as hell but when the metal hits the road you will fold.

This country is what it is in 2016, divided roughly 50/50 on every political issue and 85/15 on people even bother to care.

You've convinced you are a “Patriot” and your buddies will back you up ..you're wrong. They will end up dead or left to rot in some prison, cuz friend, there just aren't many of them.

Really, if you want to live by your interpretation of the Constitution instead of what the 9 Justice's who have been saying what it is since 1802 its not going to happen. Your keyboard longing for CWIII or revolution not going to happen either and could get you killed in the real world.

Hate to say it but if anyone think’s they are so put upon by the federal government that their lives are intolerable then they should leave. There are lots of 3rd world countries out there that will let you live your life any way you want as long as you have a few bucks.

I know the response of many here will be: eg.. BS, I grew up here, I will fight to the bitter end .. whatever...the point is we have lost. There is no revolution or CW3 on the horizon or coming as long as any of us are still alive.

FBI Director James Comey, appointed by Barack Hussein Obama, reports to AG Lynch, also appointed by BHO. If Obama directs them to go after Hillary, both BJ and Hillary start disclosing where all the bodies are burried, and that would implicate way more people in positions of power other than just those in the BHO regime. Seems far more likely that Hillary has a fatal stroke than her being prosecuted.

“We have lost” ?

Who’s we? I’ll put your negativism down to depression over the way this action ended but despite your public despair, I’d like to remind you of a few things. You may be able to make the argument that the action of the occupiers was wrong headed but you cannot deny their courage. At least they got off their ass and TRIED to do something. You may also state that perhaps they were crude, naive and wrongheaded but their hearts were in the right place and it’s shameful to see how little public support they received, even on Free Republic. They were also doing what the “lousy bastards” (as Major Pitcairn addressed them) on Lexington Green did - making a stand for the sake of liberty and self-determination. Every excuse being used by the government and the occupier’s critics is exactly what was said about Captain Parker’s men - they chose to be there, they were looking for a fight, they were disloyal, they didn’t obey the law. But today they are considered the original heroes of the greatest political revolution in history.

Our present government has grown as corrupt, over-bearing and arrogant as the British were after the French and Indian war. What’s to be done? Should we just lie down and submit, later to dream of the freedoms we once had that we let slip away by “obeying the law?” No - that course and your recommended action of leaving the country if we don’t like it will never be palatable to a people with our history. I hope that someday these men of the Oregon occupation will be held in as high esteem as the Minutemen were and perhaps someone will write a new poem with the phrase “Here once the embattled RANCHERS stood, and fired the shot heard round the world!”
