As one man put it, it was like Black Friday in January as hundreds of shoppers flocked to a Milwaukee Walmart thatâs closing soon.

AH, now I see why that store is closing.
They were being shoplifted to death.
Next will come the complaints about the shopping desert.
I am hoping for a Wal-Mart here. K-Mart/Sears is imploding and I do not know how long the Guam K-Mart can keep the rest of the chain afloat as it is one of the only stores in the chain that sees a growth in sales year after year.
I don’t want it to be replaced by Target
We had one here that they shut down. I went there a couple of times and figured out why real quick. Black people and Pakis. They built another one in a nicer neighborhood to replace it.
The stores being closes were “less profitable”.
I don’t doubt it. :)
I think I’ve been in that store; no surprise it shut down.
It’s about a mile from where a little girl was shot to death in her grandfather’s lap, a year or so ago, because someone was mad at the neighbor.
Nah, they are just in a Washington DC pre-blizzard panic and buying all they need to survive 2 or 3 days of snow.
Because Newark NJ is a “food desert”, many residents shop at the supermarkets in my town. If you just shop early, you’d never know it; go later in the day and you have the Welfarian caravans (multiple welfare sows shopping together, with multiple carts coupled by moochers). We also have a Wal-Mart (thankfully located away from residential neighborhoods) that should have its own police station. Constant shoplifting, and within the past week a news story that some female employees were recording a female minor in the restroom...
Why not Target? I like it so much more than WalMart. I go to Walmart for only two things: Kerrygold butter and Foca laundry detergent. Of course, those are two things I don’t want to live without so-yay Walmart!
Shopping at Target is still much more pleasant.
Target has a much more leftist agenda. Also On Guam we need a wider range of products and as it is expensive here anyway I’d rather have lower cost
I imagine Guam is quite different demographically than here. Target and Walmart are about a block away from each other but worlds apart in clientele.
