So, Who did you Trump supporters support before Trump joined the race?

But seriously, I liked Carson, have since come to the opinion he is running a scam for the money (fund raising operation is too slick). By way of comparison, I am a fan of Alan Keyes, although he too can reasonably be viewed as a scammer.

Cruz was high on my list, but the more I learn (and especially the fact he is disqualified) make me think he may have serious character flaws (time will tell, maybe he's using a "white lie"), and I think he would have trouble assembling a solid executive team.

Jeb and Rubio, and the rest, I would vote for the presidential elector of the Constitution Party or something else, rather than enable the RNC and its string pullers.

Before Donald announced, I had given $ to Cruz and I was stiffening up to do what we always do, have my little echo chamber at FR to help me feel not so alone, put everything into Cruz, and watching him go down in defeat to a GOPe candidate like Blinky Bush. Watching Bush stammer his way to a Hillary win. Feeling like the dutiful serf to our establishment gov-media cabal that we are. Hating what this country has become.

When Trump announced, and as wave after wave of establishment reaction did all they could do to finish him, but the People stayed tall and behind Donald we fought that establishment, I felt I was joining our Founders for the first time. Someone was doing in public what I wished would happen to our stupid paper tiger establishment that literally rules us without a glance at OUR Constitution, without a thought that our government BELONGS to us, the People.

I hope Cruz has a great career, maybe even the presidency, but right now I want a Trump coup to get back our freedom and our representative government.

TRUMP REPRESENTS ME.

Before Trump announced I was researching Perry and Walker. I had immediately discounted Cruz, Rubio and Jindal based on my views of natural born citizen.

Had Trump not entered the race I’m not sure where I would be, possibly third party with Perry and Walker gone.

Cruz, unreservedly. Donated multiple times.

I'm still one who prefers Cruz, it took me three months of the Trump candidacy to appreciate what Trump brings to the race.

He has come from inconsequential to a close second for me, and has been for a couple of months.

I still prefer Cruz, but will be happy to support either.

They're the only two I can actually vote for.

I supported Cruz, bought his book to read it to gain additional insight, sent him money.

I would be happy with, and would vote for either one.

Currently, what Trump articulates resonates. It is time to kick ass and take names. I believe Cruz' true calling is the scotus. That is what is his destiny.

Why must every thread be Trump bashing? This looked like fun, who did we support before Trump got in the race and I have to listen to the TDS crowd again. Relax, go get a cup of coffee. You’re not going to change any opinions on FR anyway, we kind of think for ourselves.

Prior to Trump announcing, I was interested in Carson, Cruz and Rubio. After he joined, it was him, Carson and Cruz. After he continued to speak his mind despite being scolded by Congress and the media, I was in the Trump camp for good. When Cruz supported TPP and tried to nuance his positions, my support for him has continued to decline.

Perry was my original first choice. Then came Scott Walker.

Anyone but Christie. Anyone but Bush. Anyone but Lindsey Graham. Anyone but the former CEO of company they almost destroyed. Anyone but Huckabee. And more choices than just Cruz, Paul and Rubio.

Oh yeah, I forgot already - I was a big Scott Walker fan.

First was him, then I wanted Carson, now I want Trump or Cruz. My how things change.

I currently "support" Donald Trump only because he's the only announced candidate from any party whom I can stand at all. Before then, it was a tie between none-of-the-above and Scott Walker. I was impressed by his ability to get things done in hostile territory.

I supported Ted Cruz. I still support both of them. I wish they'd quit fighting.

No one was saying what I wanted to hear regarding immigration & political correctness before Trump.
