Serious question, who cares how fast your machine shuts down? I have a laptop and when I need to go in a hurry it would be nice. However, I can put it into sleep mode and I am on my way.

It helps to get one out the door faster. I always kill all the power to the computer and UPS when leaving.
Yes it also boots fairly fast and starts programs faster and has no trouble getting its updates done while using it, but the 4 sec shutdown still impresses me compared to 'Doze.
