I relished the term "Old Man" when I was a Battery Commander, at the ripe old age of 29.
Whenever an insinuation is made that I may be a racist, I take it on head on...I simply don't put up with it. From the time I entered active duty, I served in units that were majority black/Hispanic. We were all green, race had no role in how we did our jobs.
I'll be damned if I'm going to let someone get away with that racist crap.
It is staggering to me to see how deeply, deeply ingrained racism is within the Black community. How sad and disturbing it is that Blacks are enslaved by this notion that everyone is against them simply because they are black. Are non-Blacks disturbed by Black culture which is saturated in violence, wanton sexual immorality with 70% of Black born out of wedlock (although other races are catching up).
I am so disappointed that oftentimes even within the Black cultural leadership, such as pastors, they harbor this racist code, albeit discreetly, within their spiritual congregations.
I have seen it more times than I can count, I or some other white person is walking with a Black person, and passes another Black person, those two Blacks will greet each other in some way and not even bother to acknowledge the other person. Again, it is this Black code that harbors and continually incubates this racist sentiment that is so troubling.
Like the Palestinian infants who are taught to hate the Jew, likewise, from the moment of their birth each Black is taught to hold hate and prejudice believing in their hearts that they are completely justified in their deep grievance. And that deep sense of grievance never, ever goes away.
Yes, I know I hold only part of the equation, but from my vantage point it sure seems like the White community has put forth a noble effort over the last 100 or so years to treat those of Color with respect and correct any long ago injustices. Meanwhile, Blacks seem only capable of harboring ill will as that is what they are taught, with the help of White liberals who wish to forever leverage their grievances for selfish, mendacious political gain.
Finally, there are many other minorities in this nation of 330 million. Almost without exception each other minority has leap-frogged the Black community in terms of social and economic progress. Even in the Hispanic community it is evident they are making economic strides well beyond the Black community at a pace that vastly exceeds the generations of Black’s efforts.
