30 yards of penalties to put their opponent in winning field goal range with 18 seconds on the clock. Yeah, that was a choke not even the Heimlich Maneuver could solve.
Debate #3 was a bigger choke than tonight
“That is an automatic 15 years for unsportsmanlike conduct “
Wow! Heavy penalty. Will he be eligible for parole in seven?
Jungle ball losers-—that’s perfect !!
“The Implode”. Bwahahahaha!!!!!!!!
“The NFL needs to eject probably 10 people from the NFL after that game, a few coaches as well. Any coach taking the field to harass an opposing player needs a reminder what unemployment looks like.”
From what I thought I saw, in the 4th quarter, a coach came out to lead an opposing player away from harassing a ref. I thought that was admirable.
hahah he's a Cincy Bengal he is already on parole...
See 1999 British Open and Jean van de Velde for epic choke of all time.
Yup. Rumor has it that with every Bengal penalty they have to check to see if the guy has any outstanding warrants.
As I said, it can be called and does sometimes. He was going in to make a play with the season on the line. Not smart, but probably not one of the worst three hits in that game. The selective outrage is just annoying as hell.
The bengals channeled their anger perfectly from the time of thirty hit where their running back was knocked out from a helmet to helmet hit and subsequent fumble to come back and have the game won. Then, they unbelievably fumbled on 1st down and just over a minute left. From there, 55 ended up making a dumb play with it all on the line after they had already done everything they needed to win.

The only thing missing is for Marvin Lewis to do a Denny Green style meltdown like, “The Steelers are who we thought they were. And we them off the hook.”
Once they knocked Ben out, I thought their defense looked fantastic. I saw no way Pittsburgh would drive on them. Even when Ben came back, the D looked great. Then they just lost control.
What was that thug/coach Joey Porter even doing on the field? Agitating, that’s what.
But there are rules in the NFL, and then there are rules for the Steelers. The Shazier hit is an example.
When Big Ben kept that last drive alive on 4th and 3 I figured Steelers would win it on a FG. I didn’t think it would be a 34 yarder because of two back to back 15 yard penalties. Utter stupidity from Bengal players. If nothing is wrong with Ben’s arm next weekend they have a great chance of beating Denver.
Exactly. That horrible Marv Lewis call could have lost them the game on its own. Then his RBs should have been told to take 3 dives, and attempt nothing other than hold onto the damn ball after the INT. That terrible coaching set the stage for the terrible penalties.
I hate Pittsburgh, and 55 and 24 have history as punks but........ that penalty on #55 was not purposeful....it should not have been called with the game on the line. For one thing the man 30 yards downfield threw the flag, there was no helmet to helmet..even the shoulder to the helmet was more of a graze..... then again, three kneels and a fg...game over
If there were a like button....I hit it for this post.
