Just seems more and more to me that he is running interference for Bill and Hill. I am getting closer and closer to crossing Trump of my list.
I agree, Col. Cats, I also have pondered the possibility that Trump is so blatantly deceitful as to be a spoiler for Hillary, but for some reason, I am convinced of the man's sincere patriotism -- I believe he loves America. I also believe in my heart that my uber-leftist fellow multi-generation California native governor Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown is a sincere American patriot. He is also sincerely misguided. Trump looks the same to me. I have a hard time attributing such base false motives -- to spoil the race so Hillary can get in -- to him.
On the other hand ... it's not personal, it's business with Trump. So all bets are off. Eight years ago he was praising her to high heaven. Today he's saying she's so corrupt she shouldn't be allowed to run for office. It's not personal, it's business.
For me, the very scariest thing about Trump is that he has so many good people bamboozled into giving him credibility based on a manufactured media brand.
I only care about advancing conservatism. Any president who wants to get elected by essentially arguing "Well, the other person is worse," is stuck on defense. Right now, with these primaries, the goal is to get the best candidate to advance conservatism. It's our offense. The primaries are the only chance we've got. We have to choose one, now.
Trump's entire past and present indicates a guy who is happy to play ball with government. Ted Cruz's entire past and present indicates a guy with a passion for reducing government to its Constitutional limitations as a means for bringing liberty, morality, and prosperity back to Americans. Right now, sheer government prevents and frustrates those things.
To turn things around, we have to start advancing conservatism. Trump promises the same ol' government solution mindset.
How is trying to stop Hillary from advancing right now, not playing defense?

Why does Trump have credibility?
Because of his success so sweet that he became a billionaire.

Someone that will attack Hillary, I think that is a given. I should be obvious that he is running against her. He does not need to run against Cruz, Rubio, Jeb, and all the other candidates because he is way ahead. The others themselves should all be only attacking Hillary because Donald Trump is not the enemy.
