Vodka (Vodka Vanity)
me | 01/01/2016 | me

My brother in law bought me this bottle of Grays Peak Small Batch vodka for Christmas. Dang nice looking bottle. I haven't opened it yet. But I'm wondering who here has a preference for vodka and if you really can tell the difference between one American Vodka and another?

This one is going to end up in white russians anyway. The Dude would doubtless approve.

Boyd and Blair.

It’s made in Pennsylvania and absolutely fantastic. Take this from someone who drinks a LOT of vodka. It’s a vice, but I really like vodka.

You’ll always find the best Vodka on the bottom shelf at the store. Trust me.

Vodka, cigarettes, fireworks.

Well you got the alcohol and tobacco part, now all you need are the firearms.

By some magical property the vodka and gin sort of cancel out each other and all you taste is the freshest spring water.

Bad gin is among the worst things to drink, I agree.

But good gin like Hendricks or Blue Sapphire can be quite good.

You can make a great martini with Hendricks and cucumber.

I did not know that. I just bought one of those huge magnum bottles of Kirkland Vodka to make herbal tinctures with. Guess I’ll have to rethink that now. Cosmos calling my name....

I do like Martinis. I have to be very careful though. Very strong stuff...

if you are mixing it with milk, you'll never be able to tell the difference tween that and well vodka...

you'd be better off learning to drink it chilled straight up with maybe a twist

I do. I drink a lot of vodka. Actually, I am drinking some right now. Boyd and Blair along with Hangar One are my all-time favorite American vodkas.

Cheap vodka = early headache.

I remember when Stolichnaya was top shelf.
