I agree in this sense. There are Christians who come from homes where they seldom if ever were offered the Christian narrative. I doubt that they can ever hold the same strength of feeling for church as a person who attended Sunday School from an early age. This is the same reason that the Founding Fathers included the “natural born citizen” clause in the Constitution. Technicalities notwithstanding, they wanted someone who “grew up” washed in the American culture.
