Eight stabbing victims were hospitalized and six suspects were in custody Sunday following a predawn melee that police were investigating as gang-related.
Officers responded to a 1:23 a.m. report of a stabbing incident on the 500 block of East Sycamore Street, Anaheim Police Sgt. Ben Starke said. Police found eight stab victims -- a group of males and females -- and obtained a description of a white Toyota Camry last seen escaping eastbound.
As the call went out, one of the responding officers spotted the suspect vehicle and called for backup. Multiple units surrounded the car at Lincoln Avenue and East Street, and the six suspects surrendered without incident, Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.
All the suspects were reported to be from Anaheim, ages 17 to 24. Three are male, three female.
The victims were taken to multiple hospitals. All were reported to be in stable condition Sunday afternoon. One victim was from Anaheim, the others' place of residence was being checked. One of the victims was 45, the others ranging in age from late teens to early 20s, Wyatt said.
It appeared that all of the stab victims were from one group, the assailants from the group that fled, police said.
Asked if there was any word on what had touched off the melee, "that's part of the investigation," Wyatt said.

This is latino gang territory and sometimes it is about nothing more than macho pride and claiming turf.

I went to Disneyland last Thanksgiving and I was horrified at the scum they let into that place now. Walt would not be pleased.
Used to be a nice neighborhood, illegals have taken it over..looks like little Tijuana now.

You would be surprised. Plenty of the gang leaders are already in places like Pelican Bay and the gangs keep thriving.
Anaheim used to be a really nice place to live. My cousin(Who used to work for the Angels ticketmaster office) moved to Anaheim years ago to be close to his work so I would go down there to see him a few times. You are absolutely right, overrun with illegals, its not the city most people think of when they think of Anaheim..now Anaheim Hills is a different story, that part of town is nicer, but Anaheim in general has gone downhill
Mu great aunt Norma used to live in Bell, CA. Neat little cottage, lots of flowers, she lived there most her life.

Anaheim Hills, Yorba Linda, Villa Park, OPA may as well be in a different country from the older parts of north Orange County.
At one time most neighborhoods in north OC were well kept but many of them are now decaying. They are occupied by a different and less prosperous people than before. Anaheim has joined Santa Ana in becoming a colony of Mexico, with a demographic that is majority latino.
Isn’t Bell the town that had a city council that was more of a criminal syndicate?

Put these filth in a 4x8 cell and NEVER let them out or communicate until they die in their own filth. Then advertise it. Misery needs company...don’t give it.
