After a somber start to his vacation, President Barack Obama arrived in Hawaii on Saturday to celebrate Christmas and ring in his final year as president.
Air Force One carrying Obama, first lady Michelle Obama, and daughters Malia and Sasha landed at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in the wee hours of the first day of his annual two-week holiday getaway from Washington.
The president usually spends his vacation time in Hawaii, the island state where he was born, frequenting the island's golf courses, dining out, hiking, going to the beach and treating himself and his kids to shave ice, a frozen dessert that looks like a snow cone.

Assumes facts not in evidence! Where are the Obamas going to spend Christmas in 2016? Will they not STILL be the "First Family" until Inauguration Day 2017? Of course this is the headline from a British Newspaper so perhaps the reporter should have some words with the Copy Editor!
Also and more snide is the reporter's take on a vacation day count comparison to predecessor George W Bush '43 and slandering Judicial Watch as a 'conservative' watchdog. On the first, no mention that '43 went to his HOME as a working-vacation site where he frequently had foreign leaders and meetings. Compare that with the Obamas going to Martha's Vineyard and Hawaii and then add the golfing and I give '43 the benefit!
YAY!!! I missed it this year. I have an office / studio not far from where the King and Queen vacay. It is absolute madness. I have lived on and off since 2008 and have since made it a point to leave when these buffoons show up.

As someone raised in Hawaii, and knowing that aloha also has the meaning of “good-bye,” I thought the article was intimating it was curtains for Hawaii now that the Obamas had landed.

Hmm, the author has some secret knowledge about a resignation or impeachment in Obama’s future? As they’ll be taking yet another multi-million dollar presidential vacation next Christmas on our dime as well.
