The FR Putin hate is about one thing and comes from one group of people. That thing is not rehashed cold war patriotism. That group is largely populated by the same one screaming for ‘lesser evil’.
What a coincidence.
Putin hate? I think it’s been proven the man is not a good person or a trustworthy person. He has political enemies killed, he is imperial (literally), he lies about some really big things.
But he loves his country and he is a leader. That is something we Americans envy in our leader.
I can applaud Putin doing this. And I still don’t have to like him. I can hold two opposing thoughts in my head. I refuse to join his fan club and post girly-man photos of him running around showing off his stocky Russian bod. Hope he kills them all.
