I don’t think President Putin would have personally announced this to the media if he wasn’t sure

You mean Turkey has a very dangerous air force, ISIS doesn’t have any...?

Actually, if you think about what NATO did to Libya, it’s NATO that has the dangerous air force.

Rubio’s statement disqualified him as far as I am concerned

He sounded like a jingoistic fool
He is a foreign policy lightweight
or worse

No comment from iCarly?
During the debate she said she’d shoot down a Russian plane and not engage in dialogue

Or maybe they’ve been having a habit of overflying that chunk and Turkey was prepared to give them a serious message. Putin is an ass. And a liar. of course so’s Erdogan. If it’s a mid-east situation it’s almost always all bad guys.

That S400 is a whole new level of crazy. It goes right up to the limit of the ABM treaty. It’s nothing like the Vietnam era SA-2 threat.
Over the horizon 250 mile range. Targets to an altitude of 186 MILES. Anti regional missile capability.
up to about 114,000 feet can maneuver at 20 G’s. Mach 6.2 speed. Does not need ground radar, once it’s launched, it’s game on. Sure hope we stay out of this mess.

We better be working on some serious ECM.

Interesting to watch in one specific dispassionate way. The Russians are the masters at SAM warfare and never real good at power projection. The result of needing mostly to protect a giant landmass.
We are the unquestioned naval power, and good at projecting power.

Opposite needs created different tools.

Excuse me .. isn’t this exactly what NATO nations are supposed to do ..??

An agreement between nations to help defend each other .. and this is what Putin hates .. and he’s been trying to do all he can to destroy that alliance. Putin’s desire is to have every nation for themselves .. thereby allowing him to attack smaller nations that are vulnerable to his military.

We had every right to let Turkey know there was an illegal aircraft encroaching on their airspace.

The US hasn’t got clean hands in this either. NATO was used to destroy Libya, and now it looks like zero is trying to use NATO to his own (and islams) ends again.

Putin hasn’t installed that defence system for no reason. It could be that he sees NATO as the potential enemy of Russia.

Don’t forget that NATO was used to tear Kosovo away from Serbia too.

...We had every right to let Turkey know there was an illegal aircraft encroaching on their airspace...

But were they, or were they being set up? If the pilot of the aircraft had been warned, as Turkey and the Defence Department maintains, TEN TIMES, why would any pilot take the risk of being shot down?

...Don’t forget that NATO was used to tear Kosovo away from Serbia too...

And bomb Serbian civilians.

And turn Libya into a rubble heap.

And then, the muslim Tatars on the Crimea were demanding that NATO intervene in their long standing squabble with the Russian ethnics in the Ukraine. But that didn’t have time to happen.

Next: The Left wants Assad out, and Syria handed over to islam and sharia. That’s not going to happen either, but try they will. France isn’t about to make the same mistake twice.

The thing is, Putin’s story does make sense. We know that ISIS sells its oil to Turkey. Convoys go into Turkey. If anyone doubts it, please look at a map and tell me where someone in the ISIS part of Syria takes their oil.

And if we accept that Turks are in the stolen oil scam, we know that ISIS is not the enemy of Turkey. Borne out again by the fact the Turkey only attacks Kurds that bother ISIS.

Next, we know that the USAF just sent a squadron of F-15C’s to Turkey. This is only used for Air Defense, so its a safe bet that US forces are fully wired into the Air Defense of Turkey. They really don’t need an excuse as a NATO partner.

Last, its been announced by us and Russia that we get their mission routes to avoid blue on blue.

So to review. ISIS sells to Turkey. Turkey is angry Russia is interdicting that. We are involved with Turkey and had the Russian routes. The Russian bomber was ambushed. Obama came right out and said this is because they were supporting Assad.
This all dovetails in with us flipping sides and partnering with Al Qeida after Libya.

Against that, we have Erdogan and Obama all over the map. It was protecting Turkey from a 17 second incursion. Then Turkey said they had no idea it was Russian. Then Obama said it was because of Russia being for Assad. Erdogan is saying nobody in Turkey buys the oil. And he just arrested 2 journalists who broke a story of police escorted Turk trucks taking weapons to ISIS. Last, the people who shot down the rescue chopper used a TOW we just gave them and trained them on.

Putin is telling the truth... and we are the bad guys over there. Literally doing what the USSR did in the 60s and 70s.

I totally agree, the real backstabbing traitor in all this is the sharia loving muzzie in the White Hut.

Eventually it will become clear that the real villain in all of this is the muzzie you elected for potus, twice.

Putin is at the very least doing what it takes to look after Russian interests. That’s more than can be said for zero.

THREE times in recent history, NATO has been used for nothing but the tail wagging the Islamic dog.

They must not be allowed to do it again in Syria.
