I read an article years ago that said the Countach was an incredibly beautiful example of a supercar esthetic, but that it was practically undriveable. This was about the time the Diablo came out and the reviewer said that the Diablo was everything the Countach was but you could actually enjoy driving it.

That article is the closest I’ve ever come — or am likely to come — to ever actually experiencing a car in that class. Unless someone has a spare Berlinetta laying around that they’re willing to let go cheap. REAL cheap ...

Old joke among super car dealers is that there are so few Countach’s around because they were all wrecked at 55 mph.

For some fun go to a youtube.com site called “GT Board”

A lot of high performance vehicles to watch.

Watch the Koenigsegg destroy the $2 million Veyron for example.

I believe GT Board is an airfield in South of Sweden.

Or if you prefer looking at the back of the Koenigsegg from a Porsche 918 Spyder, here you go:

You can listen to the German drivers in the Porsche talking about the Swedish car. “Perfekt,” one says.

You can watch them in the Porsche plotting a better method to get the jump at the rolling 50kph start, only to see the Koenigsegg fly past them once more.

50 kph to 320 kph
