Full Title: Orthodox Jewish businessman Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz met 400 US soldiers in the airport and decided to surprise them with a special treat.
On his way to Israel, Los Angeles businessman and philanthropist Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz, traveling with his family, had a short stop in Shannon, Ireland.
Upon entering the airport, they saw approximately 400 US soldiers milling around the terminal.
While the regular passengers and friends were eating at the various trendy restaurants in the area, most of the army personnel were eating army meals from paper bags.
Mr. Rechnitz approached the commander and told him that he wanted to treat all the servicemen to a good meal. At first the commander said it was unnecessary, but Rechnitz insisted.
The commander announced to all the soldiers that they could eat at any restaurant for up to $50, sponsored by Mr. Rechnitz.
After the grateful servicemen ate, the commander asked if Rechnitz would share a few words with all of them why he had done this kind act.
"You guys risk your life to protect me and my family," Rechnitz told the large group of uniformed men. "When I go out and see a whole bunch of soldiers and marines, it's something that makes me proud, and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart," Rechnitz concluded, to rousing cheers and applause.
When's the last time you heard of a Saudi Prince do something nice.
Awesome.
Whoa- that’s backing the words up. Exceptional thing to do.
Well done sir.
that was a great thing to do.
Send this out to every liberal you know (Jewish and Christian) although I dont know how you can be both with abortion and all.
Rechnitz is a Great American.
There’s a class act.
$20,000 ain't peanuts even for rich people.
Stories like this bring a tear to a patriot’s heart.
A kingly act, sir.
He’s a Mensch.
Bravo!
America ain’t dead yet.

Thank you, American Soldiers, for all you do!
