Spock has a button undone.
(guess I took my time in the Army too serious)
A book written by a Frenchman (Alsace-Lorraine) who fought with the Germans on the Russian front had some pretty horrific tales of combat.
Once, after surviving the Russian tanks crushing guys on the river bank, he makes it to the German side. He watches as some rear echelon SOB:
berates one soldier for retreating when he still had three rounds left
another for having a Russian rifle (he broke his killing the rifles owner)
sends a Lt. to a labor battalion because he lost his binoculars
send a private to follow that Lt. because he kept his jacket together with a piece of wire in lieu of a button.
