I was in a helicopter company in Vietnam. The grunts we carried around picked up some neat stuff from caches.
The “Swedish K” was the ultimate in nonstandard weaponry. Some pilots carried Thompsons, folding AKs, or even CAR-15s (better than the .38s we were issued).
But whoever slung a Carl Gustav was the king of cool on the flight line.
