I saw this when it 1st came out and almost puked
The kid is bright. He has valid concerns. The father answers his concerns with nonsense and for the moment the kids seems to be buying into it. The comments on Youtube all say from this interaction what a wonderful father the guy is... and how this is the way to handle a bright child with genuine concerns about terrorism. Tell them that we are going to fight terrorists with guns and bombs with flowers and candles. The flowers and candles will protect us. It is nonsense, at some point the kid will either realize he is being lied to or conclude that his father is delusional. Is this really the way to comfort children?
