Ever consider out of state volunteers who could go look at potential homes?

You know I’d be a friggin’ nazi about wannabe adopters.

:)

Forgot to add other reasons why we avoid out of state. 1. Flying a dog out of LAX or SNA is hard. A volunteer would have to drive to the airport and wait until the dog leaves. Not easy when you have to earn a living. 2. Rescues only do non-stop flights (due to varying temperatures) and there is guarantee the dog will be picked up promptly by the adopter. The few times the rescue has done out of state the person had to drive to Chicago from western MI. 3. GSROC dogs are guaranteed a space in the lifeboat. If a dog has to be recovered from the adopter (death, change in lifestyle, disability, etc.), arranging transport back is hard and costly. Had to get a dog back from Hope AR and cost the rescue $600.
