NEW YORK, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Zac Brown Band, Eric Church, Jamie Foxx, Sting, Tori Kelly, John Legend, Miguel, Pink and Pharrell Williams are to perform at Wednesday's Shining a Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America.

The sold-out event will be taped in Los Angeles and will air as a two-hour special Friday on A&E, History, Lifetime, H2, LMN and FYI, as well as iHeartMedia radio stations and AOL.com.

--snip--

"The concert will kick off A+E Networks' campaign to confront issues of race, and promote unity and progress on racial equity, inspired by the response of the Mother Emanuel family members in Charleston and others working for reconciliation and change around the country," a news release said. "The concert and the ancillary programming will help raise money for the Fund for Progress on Race in America powered by United Way Worldwide. The fund will provide grant funding to individuals and organizations fostering understanding, eliminating bias, as well as provide support to Mother Emanuel A.M.E. Church and the broader A.M.E. denomination. The fund will support efforts to address racism and bias through public policy change, individual innovation, and community mobilization."

Again, I have come to the inevitable conclusion that there are far worse things in the world than racism.

I SOOO hope it is live and uncensored.
Not that I will be watching, but I’d like for the whtie idiots who ARE watching to see the hate that is sure to spill forth from that stage.

The commercial says something like “This is a conversation that NEEDS to happen.”

We are always hearing that crap about “We need to talk about race in this country.” Okayyy. So, what is the desired outcome of “the talk?” I can tell how that will go.

“White Devils. Bad. Black people. Good. Too many black people in prison. I don’t feel ‘safe.’ Kill the racist cops. Reparations!!!!”

I saw the commercial and could not grab the remote fast enough. As another post said, “The lineup sucks monkey azz.” Still laughing at that!

Where are 50 Cent, Kanye, Beyonce, Ludricris, etc.? Hmmm? Afraid those fockers will tell white America what they REALLY think of us?

Speaking of race in America, for those of you who have never seen the movie “Crash,” watch it. I think it sums up things pretty well. We are ALL racist to some degree. Why in the world white libtards want to believe blacks are not racist is just beyond me.

I heard BLACK kids say things like this in school, back in the 80’s.

“White girls can’t dance. White girls don’t have a booty. White folks can’t play sports. White girls can’t run.”

Obama could have made an enormous impact to end racism just by telling the truth. He could have said, “Look at me, the son of a black man and white mother. Should I call myself black or white? Perhaps the only label I should use to describe myself is I’m an American and color shouldn’t and doesn’t matter.”

Of course he has made it clear he is an African-American despite the fact that our country has only one flag. He has also proved over and over that he also isn’t much of an American either.

I for one am tired of people demanding that they be treated equally while simultaneously demanding to be classified differently.
