This question is a little off topic, but do you have any comments vis-a-vis Apple CarPlay vs. Android Auto? Have you used either?

My 2009 Ford has Microsoft Sync. . . which sometimes drives me up a wall. It frequently decides to ask me to make a calling choice using an interface that doesn't exist in the car. . . for example, it might say, use the arrow keys to select the correct number from the list. No arrow keys, no displayed list! Or it may say press one on the key pad after the tone to call John, press two on the key pad after the tone to call Larry, press three on the key pad after the tone to call Mary, use the Arrow key to call John on cell after the tone. Beep. This on a voice activated system. . . Only there's no key pad! Next time it will replace the press one, with "say one after the tone." Once or twice I got a mix of say one, press two, select using arrow, scroll, arrrggghhhh!

I've yet to use Apple's Car Play except in a demo. Far better. I've used several proprietary maker's versions from Nissan, GM, Chrysler. . . and of them, Microsoft's Sync with all its quirks was better. . . but Apple's was better than all. My girlfriend just got a brand new Corvette Stingray. I like its system. Proprietary I think. She won't use the phone system. The mapping leaves a lot to be desired. Apple's is far better there. Built in WIFI.
