I sat down in church this morning and did what I do in any public seating area...I locate the exits, all of them, not just the closest one, and I counted the pews and gauged the distance to each exit. It’s something I was taught in flight training, and whenever I would brief blind or disabled passengers, I always counted off the rows for them. I do this in theaters, on buses, etc. Since they are using grenades and smoke devices in these attacks, you need to think about what you would do if you could not see. Be situationally aware at all times, and put away the damn phones!
It is surreal. The world is a more dangerous place today because of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
We go out to eat with several ex military from time to time. None of them will sit with their backs anywhere but against a wall.
Noooo. We love the merch guys too. So sad. I’m sitting here wearing a sweatshirt from our son’s band. I had to force the merch guy to take money for it.

That reminds me of the scene in the Walking Dead when the gang were locked up in the container. They got their belt buckle, earrings, hair pin, etc. which I didn’t realize that even a small thing can be improvised as a weapon.

Counted them the first time.
This means ALL the exits. Not just the usual doors for the public. Usually malls, movie theaters, restaurants and the like have other means of exit.
Well, I suppose if half the people in the hallway are wearing pink - and are the same size as a gorilla - then a pink gorilla just might pass unnoticed.
I know. I spent a lot of time in my twenties in rock clubs just like the Bataclan. Some of the best times of my life. I was looking at that horrible photo of the interior and it looked to me like the sound board had been flipped over ( but I’ve never been in that club, so I’m not certain). I had read that there was another crew member who had been injured, so it may have been the guy working the board. I haven’t heard anything more.
I am lightly armed at home. Outside the home armed like a Marine on recon patrol! Have not yet located frag grenades at Wally World but still searching.
Someone said it was the merch guy. So sad. The merch guy is usually the low man on the totem pole, trying to be a part of the scene and hoping to work his way up.

A cousin of mine was working at the WTC on 9-11; he got out safely, and one thing he said he noticed was the sea of women’s high heel shoes all over the place as women took them off so they could run...and they were running barefoot over broken glass, sharp metal, etc...
So, if I could add something to this great list, it would be to always wear shoes that fit correctly, that cover your feet completely, and that you can RUN in!!
