Some Christians have taken to social media channels to protest the new Starbucks holiday cup, which they say is conspicuously devoid of images of both Christmas and Jesus Christ himself. The new cup, which is shades of red with the Starbucks logo, showed up in stores late last month.
"Starbucks REMOVED CHRISTMAS from their cups because they hate Jesus," wrote Joshua Feuerstein in a viral Facebook post with nearly 10 million views. In an accompanying video, Feuerstein encourages customers to give their name as "Merry Christmas" to force Starbucks employees to say the phrase. The movement had caught on by Sunday with the hashtag "MerryChristmasStarbucks" trending on Facebook.

That was clever.
Strictly for the internet connection when traveling when there isn't an alternative like McDonald's or Wendy's available.
Just don`t buy their bitterly burnt and over priced coffee!
but their frappiccinos are outstanding....Really? How’s the coffee?
For years, Christians have been complaining about the commercialization of Christmas.
So seriously, do these people associate Jesus with that coffee-flavored liquid sugar? Not a particularly good idea, as the corporate logo for Starbucks is a Siren, one of the daughters of the pre-Greek pagan river god Achelous.
I agree, why do people go to Starbucks? I have never been to Starbucks and never will go to Starbucks. Overpriced coffee. I will not support these leftists EVER!!!!
I’m not expending any energies by not going to Starbucks. It’s not stupid to refuse to patronize places like Starbucks.
I haven’t been in a Starbucks in years. I don’t like their coffee and I don’t like their corporate culture.
I never had it. I don’t drink coffee very often.
Is Starbucks open on Christmas? I was in D.C. one year to see the cherry blossoms. It was “Easter Sunday”. (Being an Orthodox Christian, we celebrate on a latter date most years.) One of the few places open that day was Starbucks. It was full of people that were probably not Christians. BTW, it was a great day to see the outdoor sights without traffic or fighting crowds. Mt. Vernon was also open that day.
Almost everyone anymore is open on the Holy days except for the few devout Christian family owned businesses. I used to run McD’s and we used to close on Christmas, Easter Sunday and Thanksgiving. We started opening on those days for two reasons, one, that we had a huge number of customers upset that they couldn’t get something quick on those days and two, that our employees complained that they couldn’t afford to lose the days pay.
I don’t think I ever worked for a company that didn’t have holiday pay. Is it that way in most of the service industry?
From what I have seen, they look like a paper version of the famous Red Solo cup. It is as though the design team decided to take a vacation.
