If I were an owner I wouldn’t offer a contract for longer than 3 years for a 32 year old pitcher.

32 years old? I wouldn’t risk it, particularly given his history, unless he could throw a knucleball like Niekro.

But still no World Series ring? Unlike the players on the team that he demanded trade him to a contender. All of us in Kansas City still think we got the better of that deal with Milwaukee.

The Dodgers cannot afford to lose him but may not be able to afford to keep him. The Boys in Blue are screwed.

2016 is the Giant’s even year to go all the way and the key for the Giants is always GOOD PITCHING.

Yep. He was a serious head case when he was here.

He is not old enough to be with the Yankees yet.

If the Mets and Royals proved anything this year, it’s that spending a lot of money on big-name starting pitchers may not be a recipe for success. Look how many current and recent Cy Young Award contenders ended up watching the World Series from home.

Yep. He was a serious head case when he was here.

Heck of an arm though. Still I think when all is said and done Alcides Escobar and Lorenzo Cain had done more for the team than Grienke ever did.

At 32, though, he may have hit his peak and may now start a gradual decline. Also, pitching in Dodger Stadium usually cuts a half-run off anyone’s ERA. Oh, he should still be a top-notch pitcher for the next year or two, but he’s not going to be getting any better or even as good.
