The unsinkable biscuit has sold for $23,000.

The emergency ration plucked from a Titanic lifeboat in 1912 now belongs to a buyer in Greece, who spent well beyond the predicted bid of only $15,300 during the UK auction Saturday.

I understand that the last barrels of Civil War hardtack were used up in the Spanish-American war.

Only reason I know that is I was a cook, including a military cook. ;)

Heck, just yesterday I went to KFC to get 1 Breast extra crispy, with Mash Potato and it came with a BISCUIT all for $5. No need to spend $23,000 for it.
