The Minnie Riperton shriek would make my cub wake up and start crying if she was asleep, as well as setting my teeth on edge-and as much as I was annoyed by “Brand New Key”, I’m ashamed to say that I can still sing every word of it...

That is my favorite Cream tune-I keep the CD with it in my truck-a CD of old heavy tunes-it has “In a Gadda da Vida”, “This is the End”, “Roadhouse Blues” and such on it.

It’s on his album “Full Circle.” Vampire Goth Bluegrass!

Didn’t say it was. Just adding my 2 cents to the discussion in lyrical fashion.

“He’d pull up in the heat of the day and roll down the window, just enough to be heard - not enough to let any of the air conditioning out, and say “Robert Keen ... Robert Keen, I need you to help me for a minute.”

And I’d spend the rest of the day mowing lawns, or moving furniture, or digging skinny cows out of the mud on his old ranch.”

You have to listen and absorb the way he says that in the song, there is true life experience in all that. That is full of ‘mental health issues’ :)
